Ms. Yuka Nagashima, President & CEO
Founding member of LavaNet and President since 1998, Yuka is responsible for business planning, project management, purchasing, public relations and HR.

Past experience includes network design, teaching at Punahou School Board member of BBB of Hawaii, Hawaii Women's Business Center; advisor to Pacific Center for Advanced Technology Training & ThinkTechHawaii

Mr. Baron Fujimoto, Secretary & Programmer
Founding member of LavaNet, in charge of system administration, sales and technical support, LavaNet corporate secretary.

Past experience includes system administration, designing and implementing the security measures for the Univ. of Hawaii UNIX network.

Mr. Clifton Royston, Director, CTO, Board Chair
LavaNet's original President, Clifton Royston has been using the Internet and Usenet since 1990. He co-founded LavaNet with his partners in 1994, to bring quality public Internet access to Hawaii. In 1998 he became LavaNet's Senior Systems Architect. In 2003 he co-founded Tiki Technologies to develop new spam and virus filtering software, as its Chief Technical Officer.

Before founding LavaNet, Clifton Royston had programmed and worked with computers professionally for over 18 years. For 11 years, he worked for VeriFone, Hawaii's high-tech success story. As employee #25, he was there when VeriFone was a small start-up quadrupling in size each year, becoming the world leader in transaction terminals, with over 1800 employees. He has also served as LavaNet's Systems Architect. He has a B.S. in Mathematics from the U. of Chicago, and over 25 years of practical experience in computer software. His accomplishments include the development of real-time firmware, computer languages, and C compiler suites for VeriFone, where he co-authored a software patent for downloadable programming languages (US Patent #4,724,521). He was invited to speak as a panelist at the 2004 Spam Forum organized by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), representing independent regional ISPs. Clifton's expertise also includes technical project management, business planning and technical writing. He left the LavaNet and Tiki Technologies in 2005 to start I and I Consulting, specializing in custom programming, network design and network consulting.

Mr. Baron Fujimoto, Director
Baron Fujimoto worked with LavaNet from 1994 to 2005. He started as a system administrator and technical support specialist, often attending to LavaNet's sales needs as well. In 1998 he was named the corporate secretary in addition to being elected as a director. He established himself as a leader in email and security solutions. As LavaNet’s Systems Department Manager, Baron was instrumental in the design and administration of LavaNet's network and services. From 2003 - 2005, Baron was part of the design and programming team of Tiki Technologies.

Before LavaNet, Baron spent over 2 years as a system administrator at the University of Hawaii at Manoa working on the upgrade, design and implementation of the UH UNIX network security measures in 1994. Baron helped with the original deployment of UH's Access For All (AFA) program, which opened up Internet access to all of UH's students, faculty, and staff. Baron graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1994 with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, specializing in computers and data communications.

Ms. Kit Grant, Director
Kit is a creative director and executive manager with over 18 years of experience. Kit joined the founders of LavaNet in 1995 as Manager of Sales & Marketing. She was named Vice President of LavaNet in 1998. She simultaneously served as VP of Tiki Technologies from 2003 to 2005. She left LavaNet and Tiki in 2005. A member of the American Marketing Association and the Electronic Frontier Foundation, Kit was named one of the "Hawaii's 50 High Tech Leaders" in 2003 by Pacific News Net. She holds a B.A. in Liberal Studies from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Kit's other volunteer work includes the board of the Broadcast Communications Authority (budget & charter committees) at UH Manoa, and the board and executive committee of the American Civil Liberties Union of Hawaii.

Mr. Paul Lemcke, Director
Paul Lemcke is Director of Support Services at the University of Hawaii Federal Credit Union. He served for 13 years with City Bank where he held a variety of management and lending positions. Beginning in 2000, he was recognized in three successive years with the Small Business Administration's Gold Award for Lender of the Year. Paul has taught continuing education courses for bankers and has been an occasional guest lecturer at both UH and HPU. His background also includes years working in accounting, scientific research and public school teaching. Besides serving on the boards of LavaNet and Tiki Technologies, he is also Treasurer on the board of the Honolulu Symphony and Treasurer for Chamber Music Hawaii. Paul enjoys running, swimming, cycling, golf and foreign movies.

Mr. Glenn Yamashita, Director
Glenn currently is Chief Financial Officer, Corporate Secretary and Treasurer for Broadband iTV, Inc., a Hawaii-based interactive television service and applications provider. Glenn has a total of over 18 years of finance and operations experience primarily in the telecommunications and Internet infrastructure industries. Most recently, Glenn served as Director of Financial Planning and Analysis for Pihana Pacific Inc., which successfully raised over $220 million of private equity in 2000 and 2001. Previously, Glenn was AVP of Operations for Sprint Hawaii and managed an organization of over 500 individuals with responsibilities including IT, network engineering, customer service, call center service, billing and order management. He served as Director of Finance for this $250 million (annual gross revenue) division of Sprint Corp. Glenn has an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management with majors in marketing, finance and management strategy and a BBA in finance and accounting from the University of Hawaii.
